The one-on-one time we spend with your puppy is the most important aspect of our training. We have learned that nothing is more important in puppy training, and classroom environments with several distractions cannot compare to the individual attention we can provide.

LEARN FROM A CANINE TRAINER

Cozy Care is passionate about pets and dedicated to providing the highest level of in-home training. Karissa, our certified trainer, has graduated from college with a dog training certification. She has been a canine trainer and manager of pet facilities for several years, making her proficient in canine body language. She has also volunteered at Almost Home Animal Rescue and Humane Society of Huron Valley, in addition to a pet rescue in Georgia.

TRAINING SESSIONS

 Some of our typical training sessions can include the following:
Housebreaking – showing your dog the “right” places to go potty
 Crate training – important for all dogs, and trained positively, so your dog will enjoy having their own personal space
 Eye contact – when you need it, and why you do
Leash etiquette – how to keep your dog from pulling on lead, or doing other undesirable behaviors while on walks
 Basic commands – the first steps in training including “sit,” “stay,” “down,” “on,” and “off”
 Intermediate commands – include “leave it,” “focus,” “gentle,” and hand targeting (silent commands)
 Advanced commands – the more “fun” items you can teach your pet, such as pressing the “easy button,” sneezing, combined commands for routines, and ringing a doorbell when needing to potty—“The sky is the limit!”
 Separation anxiety – how to keep your belongings in working order, and distraction techniques for your puppy to reduce their stress levels while you are away
 Negative or unwanted behaviors – jumping, digging, barking, and other non-aggressive behaviors
 Interaction with others – learn how to take command of the situation to avoid potential issues with other humans or pets
Aggression/fearful behavior – how to address these concerns effectively before they transition into huge issues
 Playtime – creative ways to keep your dog happy, healthy, and motivated

Standard training sessions are 90 minutes. They can be purchased individually or as part of a specially designed training program for our clients. During your initial meeting with the certified canine trainer, she will customize a training plan to address your furry kid’s needs.
